Very nice to walk around and climb a little on the granite rocks. In summer, I'd advise to go up by car as far as possible because of the heat. It's significantly cooler up there than at sea level.
We drove to the top in the car, checked out the superb views/Aerials and stopped at the cafe/bar on the way down. The service in the cafe was good.
An unmissable destination for lovers of nature and the Sardinian mountains, for cyclists the climb to Vallicciola is particularly challenging, but very satisfying.
Classic example of man's destruction of nature. Once you reach the top of the mountain the view and the landscape on the horizon are fabulous to the south the Gennargentu mountains, to the north Corsica with its snow-capped mountains that exceed 2,700 meters in height. Unfortunately, a large part of the mountain has been usurped of its natural beauty with many antennas of all kinds and to top it off another part has been fenced off and designated as a military zone.
1320 m the highest mountain in Gallura. Lunar landscape with majestic granites, several paths, a cool and shady place recommended on the hottest days and as an alternative to the sea.

Stunning panorama, shame about the antennas of all types which really disfigured the landscape. Too many, really too many!!! The view goes from the peaks of Corsica to those of Gennargentu... The road is asphalted although not in excellent condition. Possibility of numerous routes to do on foot, bike or motorbike. However, be careful which path you take because some are challenging and very ruined.
